You can check out some of this band’s great songs on YouTube, but this will pale in comparison to their live shows back in the day. There’s only one word I can come up with to describe them: Hotties! They were simply beautiful. They were fun and fresh and funny and I’m amazed they didn’t take off into the stratospheres of rock history. They were so talented. Easy to work with and easy on the eyes. Tommi Gunn was a band that played at many of the local clubs with a big female following. Just look at them. They were as much fun to photograph as they were to listen to. Songs like “Oh Sheila” were just the tip of the mountain of great songs that never got much airplay. Thank you so much for what you contributed to The Sunset Strip! Drummer Anthony Focx can be seen in “Wayne’s World,” as what else, the kick-ass drummer of Cassandra’s band.
